China is already the world’s most populated country and it is fast becoming the world’s biggest economy. It is only a matter of time before it has the world’s most powerful army too.

Mazda Cars of Japan

Mazda is always my interesting Japanese car. When I was a child in Chonburi Province and I rode Mazda passenger cars many times. Mazda Familia, the little pick-up truck that had been modified to the passenger car (the locals called it : 2-row taxi). Its soft suspension system which was gliding on the hard dirty country roads of Sri Racha District, 50 years ago, was so reliability. And when I had to go to Chantaburi Province in 1969, seeking for my job, I depended on its local on demand taxi car, Mazda Familia, I paid for any baht per trip, acceptable price. Well, I was impressed with Mazda cars especially its smooth suspension.

I was familiar with it since my childhood at Chonburi.
It was famous for its toughness and reliability (my opinion)

Fourty years ago I was impressed by Nissan Trucks. I liked its appearance and design. Today although the brand is not my interest anymore but I still look at its cars. Nissan Navara Pick-up is one of those cars on the roads that I prefer to see.

In Japanese automakers we believe!

Remembering Tiananmen, 20 years later

June 4th, 2009, marked the 20th anniversary of the military crackdown on student protesters gathered in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China. Beginning in April of 1989, thousands of students and other citizens started gathering in groups large and small, protesting many issues, centered on a desire for freedom and democratic reform. By mid-May of 1989, hundreds of thousands of protesters occupied the square, staging hunger strikes, and asking for dialogue. Chinese authorities responded with a declaration of martial law, and sent soldiers and tanks from the People's Liberation Army, preparing to disperse the crowds. Late on June 3rd, 1989, the tanks and armored personnel carriers rolled into the square, killing and wounding many, mostly civilians - estimates vary widely, from several hundred to several thousand dead. The first 17 photos below were taken in 1989, the rest are from this year, as people remember the events, the ideals, and the fallout from that fateful day. (32 photos total)

This file photo taken twenty years ago on June 2, 1989 shows some of the hundreds of thousands of Chinese gathering around a 10-meter replica of the Statue of Liberty (center), called the Goddess of Democracy, in Tiananmen Square demanding democracy despite martial law in Beijing. Hundreds, possibly thousands, of protesters were killed by China's military on June 3 and 4, 1989, as communist leaders ordered an end to six weeks of unprecedented democracy protests in the heart of the Chinese capital. India Daily Life

             by  Phaitoon  Yaemprasuan

I have learned that in 2011, Republic of India has its 1.22 billion citizens on its territory in 3,287,263 square kilometers, (compares with Thailand, about 70 million citizens in estimated 500 thousand square kilometers) , be sure the more average cluster of residents must be India.

Although this republic country is the big democracy but it seems meaningless.
Politicians of India have been done no action but talked only, like the conservative political right wing in Thailand.

If India was governed by a socialism its face would be like the People Republic of China. But China is the Land of Communist Dictatorship while the Land of Junta Dictatorship is Thailand. The socialism state like China always takes care of its grassroots people, from cradle to grave. But standard democracy is prohibited in China, so does individual freedom.

Why do democracy and citizen welfare system disappear in India and Thailand?
Because the conservative wing of minority is so tough and belongs to any monopoly benefit.

Here, as throughout the country, poverty is booming. Everywhere can be found living on the street people. They sleep in boxes, wash the sidewalks and in muddy rivers, eating together with stray dogs.  the poverty is a familiar routine. Affects their overall mood - with all their poverty, they remain joyful and celebrate.
