Daily Life: October 2012

ภาพชีวิตประจำวัน ตุลาคม 2555

Collecting and editing images that document simple elements of daily life around the world is actually one of my favorite things in preparing a Big Picture post. The images have an element of universality, yet are often very unique. It's one of the many wonderful things about strong photography. We become armchair travelers, experiencing simple things in far flung locations through the imagery that is sent out from agencies around the world. In this post we visit places like China, Thailand, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Spain, Nepal, India, Lisbon, Scotland, Indonesia and Signal Mountain, Tennessee. -- Paula Nelson ( 56 photos total)

Animals with Different Colored Eyes

source  :   wondor.blogspot.com20 November, 2012

Animals with Different Colored Eyes - In anatomy, heterochromia refers to a difference in coloration, usually of the iris but also of hair or skin. Heterochromia is primarily the result of the relative excess or lack of melanin (a pigment). However, it may also be inherited, or caused by genetic mosaicism, disease, or injury.

Below you will find a gallery of animals (mainly cats and dogs) with two different colored eyes. These are all examples of heterochromia and give each animal a very unique and memorable look.

Fishing is the activity of hunting for fish by hooking, trapping, or gathering.
ปกติแล้ว การประมง ก็คือการที่เราไปหาปลา โดยใช้เบ็ด วางไซ ทอดแห หรือไม่ก็ล้อมอวน ฯลฯ
This is an ancient and worldwide practice with various techniques and traditions and it has been transformed by modern technological developments...
You can see these people kill tuna fishes brutally, shooting. แต่ภาพที่เราจะเห็นต่อไปนี้  เป็นภาพการล่าปลาทูน่าที่โหดเหี้ยมมาก... ใช้ปืนยิง

Hurricanes and Typhoons

  Hurricanes and typhoons

As Typhoon Jelawat slams into the main islands of Japan today, the tropical cyclone season passes its peak. Tropical cyclones begin as low pressure builds beneath a storm over warm ocean water. Known as Hurricanes in the west, and typhoons in Asia, they grow as they move, sucking more warm air into the low pressure of the center. What results is a fierce giant capable of unleashing nature's full fury, with sustained winds of at least 74 mph for category 1 storms. While only one major Hurricane, Isaac, struck the US this season so far, several powerful storms have ravaged Asia, with the east coast of China absorbing blows from three typhoons in one week. Gathered here are images of storms from the current cyclone season. -- Lane Turner (34 photos total)
